The building pictured is the former White Bear Hospital and Sanitarium located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Original Use: The structure was originally built in the 1880s as the Cottage Park Clubhouse.

Hospital and Sanitarium: In 1909, the White Bear Hospital Association purchased the clubhouse and converted it into a hospital, which opened in 1910. It was described as a new, modern, steam-heated, electric-lighted building with accommodations for 30 patients, specializing in surgical, medical, and nervous diseases.

Multiple Identities: The building had several names over the years, including the Minnesota Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital in 1912 and the Lake Shore Sanitarium in 1914.

Final Use and Demolition: In the 1920s, it was repurposed as an inn and boarding house with banquet facilities. According to historical records, the building was demolished in 1946.

Current Status: The original building is no longer standing. A portion of the structure may have been incorporated into a private residence that exists today at the corner of Cottage Park and Circle Drive, east of Lion's Park in White Bear Lake.
